Study Hall

Expectations

  • This will be a place for students to focus on schoolwork.
  • Any student is welcome, but it is not a place to hang out.
  • Use a library voice and be respectful of others
  • Using devices for anything other than schoolwork is cause for dismissal.

Before School

I can be available before school by appointment only and I need at least a day notice in advance. Most mornings I get to school between 7 and 7:15.  Late start Wednesdays I will not be available because of the meetings that are planned for teachers those mornings.

Why come to study hall?

  • Create evidence of learning.
  • Work on checking your understanding.
  • Get help with both of the above.
  • Retake an assessment.
  • Catch up on absent work.
  • Form a study group and meet regularly.

During Lunch

I am available for tutoring during lunch.  The first 10 to 15 minutes I am getting my lunch, but I will be back. Just let me know you need some help and I will be in my room, ???, most of the time.  I do have meetings every Friday some other times at lunch so be sure to make an appointment.

What if I can't come to study hall or it is not available?

  • Work on your evidence of learning with a friend and come with questions during stations.
  • Work on checking your understanding by yourself or with a friend.
  • Review your notes and come to class with questions.

After School

After school tutoring will be available by appointment only. Note: The calendar may change in order to fit the needs of our students.
